Last day of school! Last day of school!
It's finally here!
Swimming, tennis team, scolding-hot temperatures, cold iced water and lemonade and sweet tea, summer camp, new people, June bugs and ladybugs and playing "destroy the anthill", beach trips, birthdays, sleepovers, more time to read and write and draw and watch movies, running barefoot in dew-wet grass, the carnival, ice-cream, camping out, etc. etc.
And what do you think the first thing I do when I get home is?
Clean.
You read me right. I cleaned my room, the living room, my brother's room, and shampooed the carpet all over the house. Not to mention the laundry. When my mother gets home, what do you think she does?
Tells me I didn't do a ---- thing, and that I didn't do it worth a ----, and that I could be sure as ---- that I'd do it again. Love you too, Mom.
So here I am, on the computer while my mother's gone because I was grounded. Fun. But I do have something(s) to look forward to. I have this little tradition of staying up all night the day I get out of school, watching my favorite movies and eating popcorn and candy and ice-cream. Plus my little cousin . . . actually, I don't know how she's related to me . . . anyway, she's coming over this weekend, and she's sooo adorable! I love little kids. They're the cutest!
So, even though I had to clean a lot-and still do-I have a whole lot to look forward too. Yeee!
